His physical exam result shows he qualified at the level 4. After having 4 week basic training at Choong Nam Center, he was then assigned as a Civil Service Personnel in Gangnam district, Seoul for 26 months.

At entrance of Choong Nam Noon Sang training center.
Many fans waited for Ko Soo.There was light snowfall and the weather was quite cold but people were warmed up by the appearance of Ko Soo. He shook hands with his fans and said good bye to them: "I will get along well and be healthy...take care of yourself, everyone. See you again".
Fans gave letters to Ko Soo.
Some Japanese fans also gave him the necklace to wish him good health.
